Hi all, and especially those of you in the liminal zone,
If you've felt like everything's happening slower than you wish for, you're not alone. I just moved into my new home after I got displaced by the hurricanes, and it feels like I'm moving like molasses lately (Can molasses also be frenetic? Asking for a friend 🤣).
I'm in Connecticut for the holidays, but before I left, I was at dinner with friends in Florida (where we are all, collectively in the liminal zone) and we were all saying a version of the same thing. It just seems like everything's taking longer right now.
Hearing my friends' stories reminded me of what I know to be true: there are parts of our brains 🧠 that are really good at running on automatic. They're in charge for many of our regular, daily routines. When all that is disrupted by entry into the acute liminal zone (the time of maximum ambiguity), mental capacity is tied up in the basics. That's just biology: when we can't rely on our habits, we have less available mental energy.
All that to say: I'm a few days late getting this newsletter out the door. But this (last) week's blog post is a really rich one, in which I share...
And if you want to go into much greater depth on getting from here to dreams unlocked, email me back -- there are just a few spots left in the group experience that begins on Dec 31st, and we'll cover all this and much more.
Here's what previous group experience participants have said: "We've been on a high since the [group experience]. One person used what you taught us with their kids, another with their partner. The impact has been radiating outwards and has had such positive impact already on people's lives."
If you're celebrating Christmas, I hope you have a great one!
Speaking of, did you know we're in the midst of two near-universal liminal zones?
Now off to eat some of those Christmas 🎄 cookies 🍪 I smell baking...
